Uh… well, I have a sense of shame, especially right after the ringing success of the movie based on Tolkien stories.

What more can I say? I've never read Tolkien or practically any other fantasy top sellers. But this sketch was made in the times when I was dreaming of drawing stories of knights and alien civilizations. For some time I considered this sketch a constant reminder and a guiding light pointing towards what I thought I would do—drawing comics. Now, after seeing tens of computer-animated knights flying their dragons, I'm not that sure of that way of life, but still longing deep down inside ;). [Technical pen; March 1994]
